2024/25 Fixture Announcement

Fixtures Announced for the 2024/25 Planet Ice NIHL National Division Ice Hockey League

The Planet Ice NIHL National Division is excited to announce the fixtures for the highly anticipated 2024/25 season. Following an exhilarating previous season where Leeds secured their second consecutive title, Peterborough emerged victorious in the playoffs, and Milton Keynes claimed the cup, the new season promises to deliver thrilling ice hockey action from start to finish.

Opening Weekend Fixtures

The season will kick off with an action-packed opening weekend from Friday, 13th September to Sunday, 15th September 2024. Fans can look forward to the following matches:

Final Weekend Fixtures

As the regular season draws to a close, the final weekend before the post-season playoffs will feature critical matches from Saturday, 22nd March to Sunday, 23rd March 2025. These matches are pivotal as teams compete for playoff positions:

  • Saturday, 22nd March 2025
    • Solway vs Milton Keynes (League)

Following the final regular season weekend, the top 8 teams will then move into 3 weekends of playoffs, followed by the culmination of the season at the Final Four event over the weekend of 19th & 20th April 2025 in Coventry.

With the new season on the horizon, teams are gearing up to compete at the highest level, bringing passion and skill to the ice. We look forward to welcoming fans back to arenas across the country for what promises to be another unforgettable season of Planet Ice NIHL National Division ice hockey.

Miller Flies In

Romford Raiders are delighted to welcome 25 year old Shaun Miller, who hails from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada as their second NBT forward for the 24/25 season.


Shaun joins the Raiders having ended last season playing in the ECHL for the Cincinnati Cyclones, where he recorded four assists in 15 appearances. Prior to then, Shaun had played in USports for four seasons at Dalhousie University, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, scoring 19 goals and 46 assists for 65 points in 70 appearances.


Shaun’s junior career was spent initially in local team Cole Harbour Major Midgets in Nova Scotia league, before stepping up to play in the Quebec Maritime Hockey League (QMHL), splitting 5 seasons between Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, totalling 59 goals and 103 assists for 162 points in 231 appearances.

Wilson Joins The Raiders

Romford Raiders are pleased to announce the signing of Aiden Wilson, an exciting young center hailing from Saltcoats, Scotland. Aiden honed his skills in the Kilmarnock Blizzard programme before taking up opportunities to play overseas in both America and Sweden. He also had brief stints with the Telford Tigers NIHL team, where he further developed his game and gained valuable experience.

In addition to his club career, Aiden proudly represented Great Britain at the U18 world junior championships in the 2022-23 season, showcasing his talent on an international stage.

“We received several positive reports on Aiden and are delighted to bring him into our squad this season. Aiden possesses significant offensive potential, and we are eager to work with him to develop his game further. We are excited to provide him with the opportunity to prove himself in the national league.”
