Miller Flies In

Romford Raiders are delighted to welcome 25 year old Shaun Miller, who hails from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada as their second NBT forward for the 24/25 season.

Shaun joins the Raiders having ended last season playing in the ECHL for the Cincinnati Cyclones, where he recorded four assists in 15 appearances. Prior to then, Shaun had played in USports for four seasons at Dalhousie University, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, scoring 19 goals and 46 assists for 65 points in 70 appearances.

Shaun’s junior career was spent initially in local team Cole Harbour Major Midgets in Nova Scotia league, before stepping up to play in the Quebec Maritime Hockey League (QMHL), splitting 5 seasons between Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, totalling 59 goals and 103 assists for 162 points in 231 appearances.

Welcome to Romford, Shaun.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining the Romford Raiders for the upcoming season. This is an exciting opportunity, and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success both on and off the ice. Moving to Romford marks a new chapter for me, both professionally and personally. I’m eager to immerse myself in the local community and culture. I’m committed to giving my all to the Raiders, and I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things.

Thank you to the Romford Raiders organization for this incredible opportunity. I’m looking forward to hitting the ice and getting started.

See you soon, Romford!”

Wilson Joins The Raiders

Romford Raiders are pleased to announce the signing of Aiden Wilson, an exciting young center hailing from Saltcoats, Scotland. Aiden honed his skills in the Kilmarnock Blizzard programme before taking up opportunities to play overseas in both America and Sweden. He also had brief stints with the Telford Tigers NIHL team, where he further developed his game and gained valuable experience.

In addition to his club career, Aiden proudly represented Great Britain at the U18 world junior championships in the 2022-23 season, showcasing his talent on an international stage.

“We received several positive reports on Aiden and are delighted to bring him into our squad this season. Aiden possesses significant offensive potential, and we are eager to work with him to develop his game further. We are excited to provide him with the opportunity to prove himself in the national league.”

Please join us in welcoming Aiden Wilson to the Romford Raiders. We look forward to seeing his contributions on the ice and witnessing his growth in the upcoming season.

Dewey Is Back

Elliott Dewey is back on the blue line for his third consecutive season as a Raider after joining in 2022. Dewey has great experience at this level and has been a consistent performer since signing with the club.

Elliott was the Raiders’ top goal-scoring defenseman with three goals in 63 appearances whilst also hitting the double-digit mark for assists with 10. Dewey is not known for his points due to his outstanding ability to defend, which is why it was key for the Raiders to keep hold of him.

Elliott always looks assured when playing, with his calmness to play out from the defensive zone to allow the team to break out, and he will always be there to scoop up any mess that needs to be dealt with.
We are delighted to have Elliot back once again and can’t wait for him to pull on that #13 jersey once more.

“I am looking forward to getting another season with the gold and blue underway.
Exciting times for the club with new ownership and Laish as player coach. Should be a great year all round.”

Pascale Returns

Marco returns for another year in Gold and Blue after playing his first full senior season with the team. Marco stepped up last season and took responsibility on the blue line when called upon.

Marco is still a young player with the potential to grow, and to already have made 85 appearances with the Raiders at National League level shows his skill set. The defenseman was able to find the net once last season, with that goal coming in the playoffs, but he also grabbed 11 assists.

His ability to carry the puck out from behind his own net has been impressive at such a young age.
Marco is never shy to get physical against opposition forwards; despite his smaller size, he can surprise forwards with his strength.

The Raiders are thrilled to welcome Marco Pascale back into the roster for the 24/25 season and can’t wait to see him thrive under Adam.
